ROB SKIBA II

In 1977 Rob Skiba II received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. That same year he also saw Star Wars for the first time. After seeing it 12 more times in the theater the first year it came out, he knew exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of his life... he wanted to make movies!

Rob took telecommunications in High School, but upon graduating he decided to go into the Army before pursuing the arts. He wanted to learn how to fly helicopters like his father. He made it through flight school with honors and spent 8 years in the service as part of a Scout Weapons Team in an Air Cav. unit, flying OH-6A helicopters. But in 1993, he left the service to once again pick up the pursuit of making movies.

Since 1993, he has written and produced over a dozen theatrical plays and been on two national tours with a traveling acting troop.

In 1999, he graduated from The Hollywood Film Institute, having completed both the director and producer tracks. It was there that he met Peter Kaye and the two began to discuss the idea of one day making movies together... an idea that would take more than 7 years to finally develop.

From 1994 - to the present, Rob accumulated extensive experience in corporate video and event productions having worked as a freelance videographer, writer, editor, director, graphic artist and fabricator for companies like Zasco Productions, Illuminations Productions Services, Strawberry / Milestone Productions, The Holbek Group  and others.

He also has more than 15 years experience in the fine arts too. He has designed and built sets for theatrical productions and trade shows, worked on a movie set for Dreamworks, sculpted birds for a U.S. Fish and Wildlife museum, fabricated scenery for Yankee Candle Corporation and even built a 5600 sq. ft. Jurassic Park for a large New England State Fair.

Rob has always been active in church and ministry. In 1994, with the help of friends and family, he founded the Drama Ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Rob left Massachusetts in 2002, moved to Dallas and for the past 4 years he has served as both a Trainer and now a Director for The Road Adventure.

He currently serves as the fultime Multimedia Director of East-West Ministries International. In the past couple of years, he has traveled to more than 13 countries creating videos for missionaries that help them to create awareness and raise support for their work in the foreign mission field.

He founded The Revolutionary Film Project at the end of 2006 in order to finally put all of that experience into making his life-long dream come true. He currently has several screenplays in various stages of development and is actively seeking partners in the continued growth and formation of this new endeavor.

Indeed, he has been on an amazing and often difficult journey, but God has blessed every step along the way. For a 3 minute video highlighting that journey click the play button in the window below.

It has been nearly 30 years since George Lucas first inspired him with tales from a galaxy far, far away, but the dream of making movies has never left him. The Revolutionary Film Project is the answer to all of his childhood dreams.

If you've always dreamed of making movies too, he invites you to join him!
